Exclusive wellness travel insights at Luxperience

Oct 4, 2019 Industry News

For modern travellers, wellness is a top priority. It has created a $639 billion wellness travel industry that’s grown at more than twice the rate of tourism overall. Find out why from industry expert Katherine Droga at Luxperience.

Droga is the chair of the Wellness Tourism Initiative, a project of the Global Wellness Institute (GWI), and the founder of the Wellness Tourism Summit, Australia’s first industry summit dedicated to the sector.

As part of the Luxperience Business Sessions, she will provide her insights on the latest consumer wellness travel trends and research. The session, to be held on Tuesday October 7, will deep dive into the wellness travel sector definitions, the total value and size of each market. Individual operators, distributors, media and government will all find this session fascinating and informative.

We are also excited to announce the launch of the Global Wellness Travel Survey. This consumer survey will help the industry learn more about the behaviour of wellness travellers and identify new trends in wellness tourism. The purpose of the GWI Initiative is to increase awareness, understanding and opportunities in one of the fastest-growing tourism segments globally. Complete the short survey.

Those who complete the survey are welcome to enter a draw to win a platinum ticket valued at $765 to attend Australia’s first Wellness Tourism Summit being held in Noosa, March 19-20, 2020. This two-day Summit will immerse attendees in the latest research, consumer trends and best practice in wellness travel and tourism with over 20 leading global and local speakers on the main stage.
