Skyward experiences to take clients to new heights

From heli-skiing to hot air ballooning, these are the ultimate luxury experiences in the skies above Australia and New Zealand your HNWI clients will be eager to try on their travels.

Luxury travellers might be missing their long haul flights overseas, but there’s plenty to see above ground on both sides of the Trans-Tasman.

From Heli-skiing, heli-fishing, scenic flights to aerial adventures, we hit the skies to find the best experiences in the skies above Australia and NZ your clients will be lining up to try.

We’ve put together a collection of ten exciting travel ideas where clients can experience the sights from a different height for their next trip.

Best of Both Worlds Helireef (Hayman Island, QLD)

Like the name suggests, elevate your expectations with the Best of Both Worlds from the intercontinental Hayman Island Resort.

Combining two tours, guests will fly over Heart Reef, before snorkelling at Reefworld and then taking another flight to the pristine Whitehaven beach for a glass of sparkling.

Look down at the Whitsunday Islands and soak up the breathtaking views or the reefs from above. Minimum booking of two passengers, this is perfect for couples wanting to get cosy aerially.

Heli-fishing Safari (Noonamah, NT)

Clients will get to see all the sights and haul some beautiful catches in Australia’s top-end on a Heli-Fishing Safari.

Perfect for connecting to nature, visiting rock pools and billabongs, a multi-day safari takes guests to some very remote locations where other fisherman rarely get to.

We recommend tieing in a Kimberly By-Air tour to really take in the very best of the Northern Territory.

Heli-skiing (South Island, NZ)

For the skier who wants to experience empty slopes, incredible scenes and virgin snow, heli-skiing is the next best thing for an avid snow bunny.

Alpine Heliski run private chartered tours with experienced guides that have expert knowledge of the terrain and can match your clients experience with the right runs.

Harris Mountains Heli-ski also offers chartered experiences with exclusive helicopter use — sure to appeal to the HNWI traveller.

Scenic route to lunch(Sydney, NSW)

Now this is a fine dining experience unlike any other in Sydney.

For the gourmet client who doesn’t want to struggle to get a booking, why not suggest a flight into the secluded Berowra Waters Inn via sea-plane for an incredible six course degustation lunch?

This is one lunch that is sure to impress.

Over the Outback  (Multi-state)

This is the chance to see the Red Centre from a different perspective.

Air Adventure runs Air-Safari’s with exceptional itineraries and guides to get the best out of the trip. Flying makes that vast Australian land instantly more accessible–some of the spots are not even accessible by road.

The team arranges everything so all your guests have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the view. For the traveler short on time, we recommend the three day Lake Eyre tour that departs from Melbourne return.

Airlifted lunch at Levantine Hill (Yarra Valley, VIC)

The ultimate Vineyard lunch and winery experience comes aptly titled as the The Chairman’s Ultimate Package at Levantine Hill.

Guests travel on a return helicopter flight from Melbourne City to lauded Levantine Hill Winery, where a glass of sparkling and lunch awaits them, including caviar and wine.

Then before they depart, a case of Levantine Hill’s finest drops is gifted to them. 12 bottles of the wineries best will remind clients of the incredible experience they’ve just had.

Heli-Snowmobile Tour (Queenstown, NZ)

For the ultimate Snowmobile experience, jump aboard a scenic helicopter flight to the Garvie Mountains.

Top Shelf Tour (Hobart, TAS)

Clients will sample their way through the best whisky, gin and wine Tassie has on offer — all in the air. Tasmanian Air Tours takes clients on a choice of the Shene Estate or McHenry Distillery.

Shene is the home of Poltergeist gin and the only producer of triple distilled whiskey in the state – Mackey Tasmanian Single Malt Whiskey. McHenry combines natural springwater to create gin, whisky and vodka from the earth.

After an incredible morning visiting and sipping, you’ll be flown to Frogmore Creek Wines for a lunch with seasonal local produce and famous cool climate wines. The pilot is even nice enough to drop guests back at their hotels in Hobart.

Heli-Hiking in the North Island (Tongariro National Park, NZ)

For the guest that doesn’t like waiting, let them skip the long-haul walk and fly straight to the peaks of Tongariro National Park.

What is normally a three-day trek, Heli-hiking turns the journey into a scenic flight via chopper.

Of course, guests have to hike back. Which is well worth it with some breathtaking views and incredible cliff-drops.
