Myconian Collection expands as Greek travel booms
Myconian Collection is set to open its 10th property on the island of Mykonos in May, the luxurious Panoptis Escape. It’s just one more reason Greece is at the top of many luxury travellers’ wish lists.
Set on a hilltop overlooking Elia Beach. Panoptis Escape promises easy-going luxury with just eight ultra-luxe villas. The grand Panoptis Villa offers 1,500 square metres of living space complete with a 130 square metre infinity pool, zen space, open kitchen with barbecue and more. The Artisans, a team of experienced staff, are on hand to cater to guests’ every need and to create bespoke experiences.
These curated experiences are offered across all Myconian Collection properties and give guests the opportunity to discover the history, cuisine, culture and natural beauty of the island. Join an expert for an underwater photography safari, take a private tour through a local brewery, charter a private yacht or see Mykonos from above on a helicopter tour.
Figures from the Greek National Tourism Office show a 94% increase in Australian travellers from 2016 to 2018. “There is no slowing down of Australian visitor numbers to Greece,” said Katia Gkikiza, Trade Commissioner from the Consulate General of Greece in Sydney. “The standard of tourism product in Greece is constantly adapting to the needs of the contemporary high-end traveller, and the luxury sector is booming.”
