Luxperience relaunches Awards recognising ‘profound impact on luxury travel’
The Luxperience Awards, a prestigious industry accolade recognising excellence in high-end travel will return as a highlight of the 2024 event to reward and recognise industry leaders.
Luxperience Event Director, Lynn Ormiston, says “The Luxperience Awards celebrate the great brands, and also the individuals and organisations that make a profound impact on luxury travel.”
“We are bringing this key feature of our program back to showcase the achievements of the creme de la creme of the industry, and importantly, provide well-deserved recognition within the Luxperience Community.”
The Luxperience Awards will take place on Tuesday 19 November 2024, with submission opening early July to anyone registered to attend Luxperience 2024.
“Our partners and buyers understand that true luxury is more than just the product itself, it’s about the experience and authentic connections they create, and bringing back the awards will help celebrate this for everyone at the event, and provide a glamourous start to the event,” says Lynn Ormiston.
In addition to the major awards, which reflect the Luxperience values of Inspiring, Meaningful, and Connection, recognition is also given for outstanding achievement. These include an individual buyer who has shown remarkable dedication and a visionary tourism office that has significantly influenced luxury and experiential tourism within their country or region.
“The Luxperience Awards call out the new benchmarks in luxury travel, by honouring those who push the boundaries and deliver unparalleled experiences to consumers. It is also an uplifting way to kick off our event with a celebration and an opportunity to connect, something that our community values greatly,” said Lynn Ormiston.
Luxperience Awards Categories
- INSPIRING – recognising excellence in the planning and development of innovative products, services & experiences, acknowledging entrepreneurial vision, market leadership and uniqueness.
- MEANINGFUL – recognises industry contribution to a greater understanding and appreciation of history, heritage, and culture. Their contributions embody key elements such as fostering a sense of community, promoting experiential travel, and upholding social responsibility.
- CONNECTIONS – recognises a company’s marketing strategy and campaigns that effectively CONNECT with key target markets within the luxury high-end experiential travel space OR events and/or incentives.
- OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT (Individual) – honours individuals who have demonstrated exceptional innovation, creativity, and excellence in the luxury & experiential travel market. Recipients of this award may have made significant contributions to enhancing travel experiences, setting new standards for luxury service, or pioneering unique and memorable travel experiences.
- DESTINATION – acknowledges the activities of regional, state, or national tourism offices in the luxury experiential travel space and recognises destinations that incorporate luxury experiential travel as a key contributor to their overarching global strategy.
Entries are limited to those participating in Luxperience 2024 with submissions via an invite-only personalised portal link. Entries are meticulously reviewed and judged by a panel of luxury industry experts.
Award winners will be announced at the Luxperience Gala Event on Tuesday 19 November 2024 at the Sofitel Darling Harbour.
