Tasting the best of Italy
What’s the best way to experience one of the world’s most delicious destinations? Through its food. Immerse yourself in the tastes of Italy with Missing Italia.
This Autumn, foodie travellers visiting Central Italy will be able to hunt for fine truffles. Missing Italia has introduced an eight-night package for clients who want to look for Italy’s best truffles and the finest Italian food.
Guests will spend a morning in the forests of Emilia-Romagna, known as the Food Valley of Italy, where a special truffle typology is found. Travellers will be paired with a truffle guide and a specially trained dog. Along the way, the guide will provide information about the delicacy.
Of course, there will be truffles served with lunch, as well as wine. Guests will also get to complement the truffles with cheese, wine and chocolate tastings, and local private tours during the trip.
Pecorino cheese tastings will be held in Tuscany then a second truffle experience in Norcia or Acqualagna, to compare the different flavours. There will also a private cooking lesson in a farm as well as more tastings among the amazing autumn colours of Appenine Alps, with local specialties like ham and vinegar.
This eight-night package begins in Venice and ends in Rome. Guests will stay in five-star accommodation, including Hotel Castello di Montegridolfo, Hotel Palazzo Seneca, and Hotel La Posta Vecchia in Rome. The package also includes a six-day rental of a full-size car with an automatic transmission, and private tours of Urbino and Perugia/Assisi with English speaking guides.
