Luxperience launches Virtual Event

Australia’s leading live platform for personalised luxury, Luxperience, has announced that it will launch a virtual meeting event to replace the planned physical event, this 13-16 October 2020.

The reimagined format will allow luxury travel businesses and tourism destinations to stay connected with key decision makers and qualified travel buyers, and will support future business growth, in a safe and interactive online environment.

With international travel disruptions significantly impacting the industry, the organisers say that moving the event online will allow all parts of the industry to remain connected and help find new ways to navigate the current pandemic, and offer an engaging interactive platform that will bring the community closer together no matter what timezone they are situated in.

It will also help accommodate the expected increase in demand for high-end travel experiences within Australia, New Zealand and the wider Oceania region, all of which are poised to be some of the first markets to open up to both inbound and outbound tourism. These regions are likely to be regarded as both a ‘safe’ source market and destination for some time to come, with luxury travel predicted to rebound quickly meaning that an online opportunity to connect will be a vital tool for businesses to help them navigate the current challenges.

Luxperience Event Manager Lynn Ormiston is excited to be bringing the online event to life and believes the technology and innovation that digital platforms, such as virtual events, can provide will play a vital role in supporting the travel industry with a roadmap to a post COVID-19 world.

“In these unprecedented times, we know, now more than ever, the importance of staying connected,” says Ms Ormiston. Event Manager. “We’re an industry that is rooted in making personal, meaningful connections, not only for our clients but also with our industry peers.

“The current climate may mean that we are unable to meet in person, but we know from talking to our partners and clients that there was a strong need for the luxury travel industry to come together to meet face-to-face, albeit virtually, to ensure we’re all ready to offer these amazing experiences when we can travel again. Our existing network of high-end travel suppliers and buyers means we can bring this community together to do just that,” she adds.

The virtual event will incorporate all the hallmarks of the successful physical event including its pre-scheduled appointments format, as well as translating its education program into engaging online workshops and insightful industry keynote presentations. It will also continue to prequalify all participants to ensure that only senior decision makers, with a proven history of purchasing can take part in the online program.

According to Ms Ormiston, the online format will also allow new players, who previously would have been unable to make the journey to Australia, to take part in the meeting program and offer a wider breadth of buyer source markets.

The Luxperience Virtual Event will run from 13 to 16 October 2020 online with applications for both exhibitors and buyers opening 03 June 2020. Click here to contact the team to find out how you can be involved.
