Luxperience is excited to announce that as part of our 2020 Virtual Event, you can now register to attend the Luxperience Education program. Find out more about who you can look forward to hearing from.

You’re invited to delve into expert insights and take part in some lively industry panel discussions. Luxperience is excited to announce that registration is now open to attend our virtual education sessions that are running as part of the Luxperience 2020 Virtual Event! With so much change and uncertainty, within the tourism industry this year, we believe it’s important that all travel professionals have the opportunity to access the latest news. This is why we decided to open up our education program to a wider industry audience for the first-time, free of charge.

From the 13-16 October 2020, you will hear from a carefully curated line-up of speakers, from government officials and leading airline representatives to the best in worldwide tourism destinations. Our speakers are covering the topics that matter most to you, exploring new opportunities for personalised travel businesses to thrive in the future.

Here is a snapshot of what your week spent with Luxperience will look like…

Tuesday

We are delighted that Luxperience 2020 will open with an address from Senator the Hon Simon Birmingham, Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment. The Luxperience Opening Forum will transport you with iconic backdrops with the help of some of Australia’s most prestigious arts and cultural institutions and kick off the week with an insightful keynote and industry networking opportunities.

Following the opening address, you’ll hear hear directly from Tourism Australia and Tourism New Zealand as they discuss the opportunities for intra-regional travel, selling domestic experiences as well as offer insights from domestic border relaxations and what that means for luxury travel operators in the near future in the session ‘The Future of Trans-Tasman Tourism’.

Wednesday

Start your day off with a session from renowned travel futurist Carolyn Childs of MyTravelResearch.com, ‘Beyond 2020: Creating the future of luxury travel’. Using an expert framework grounded in design thinking, Carolyn will delve into her trends treasure chest and to help you identify the trends and opportunities that matter most to your business.

Then, discover ‘Why island destinations have a unique advantage when it comes to the rebound’ in a panel session hosted by a mix of tourist industry experts. Join our panel as they discuss how island destinations will lure luxury travellers back to their idyllic shores and what challenges they will face as they re-focus on more local source markets and ensure repeat visits even when global borders open.

Thursday

Dive into the world of Philanthropic tourism, with a panel discussion on ‘The increasingly important role luxury travel has as a drive for change’. Explore how HNWI travel can be a significant force for eco and social endeavors and discover insights from organisations who are transforming the travel experience and harnessing tourism dollars for the greater good of climate and communities.

Plus, find out how some of the world biggest airlines including, Qatar Airlines and Air New Zealand, are transforming to keep business running and customers safely in flight with ‘How the aviation industry is adapting to keep travellers flying high’.

Friday

There is still a lot happening on the final day of Luxperience, with the ‘Australia and a sustainable tourism future’ session from Tourism Australia. This session looks at the positive impact that sustainable tourism such as wildlife conservancy, education and conservation of our natural environments will have in a post-COVID world.

Finally to end Luxperience 2020, ‘It’s a Wrap’ Party. Open to all participants of Luxperience Virtual Event this final networking event is a perfect opportunity to reconnect after the week of sessions and bring the entire Luxperience community together to celebrate looking towards a bright future for the industry.
