Qatar Airways has appointed Thomas Scruby as Vice President Pacific to lead Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea and Greater China.

Thomas is responsible for leading all strategic and commercial aspects of the airline's business from its regional office in Melbourne.

Scruby brings with him more than 20 years of experience in commercial aviation management and extensive global industry knowledge accumulated from his previous roles at British
Airways, LATAM Airlines, Helloworld Travel working in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Japan.

Most recently and prior to joining Qatar, Thomas worked for American Airlines where he was responsible for the commercial business in Hong Kong, South East Asia, and most recently Japan and Korea.

Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and is married with one daughter.
