Damon is the consummate operator, strategist, visionary, and his hospitality knowledge of the Asia-Pacific region and beyond is incomparable. He has lived and led teams in places many only dream of visiting. Damon’s uniquely varied experience spans new hotel launches in gateway cities, casino & convention hotels, flagship brands, and company-owned assets. He has consistently demonstrated visionary, strategic and operational leadership for some of the most desirable hotel brands. Damon is known for building strong, collaborative teams with the knowledge and insight to generate exceptional returns and achieve operational excellence in constantly changing, often volatile, economic environments.

His belief that investment in people will unlock any challenge, combined with his love of adventure and the underwater world, resulted in his passion to “do all the good he can” by recently joining sustainability mission-led SH Hotels & Resorts. Damon will lead the opening of 1 Hotel Melbourne, poised to be one of Australia’s most iconic buildings and a brand flagship, whilst managing the careful regional growth of the sustainability-led SH Hotels brand portfolio, as Area Managing Director, Asia Pacific.
