Debra Fox is a highly respected industry professional with close to 30 years of in-depth experience across all facets of the travel and tourism industry. She brings with her an enviable record of leadership, business growth and organisational success. As well as being named as one of the Top 10 most powerful women in the Australian travel industry, Deb is well respected and recognised for her significant contribution and impact as a senior leader.

Having travelled widely as well as spending time living and working in Europe, the UK and Australia, Deb has spent most of her career within the travel industry. She has held numerous executive roles over the last two decades with a career that has included senior roles with Thomas Cook, American Express and more recently as Chief Commercial Officer and global General Manager for APT Luxury Touring and Cruising group of companies which included Captains Choice and were she was instrumental in building the international luxury river cruise market from Australia. Before joining Abercrombie & Kent, Deb ran her own business consultancy, specialising in the travel, tourism, service and experience-based industries with a focus on strategy, alignment and organisational development.

Deb has a long record of success in building brands, teams, distribution, and the customer experience within the premium and luxury travel segments, including business and digital transformation. She is regularly called on by businesses and associations for her thought leadership and industry insights.

As an avid and passionate traveller, Deb’s other loves include food, wine and sports of all kinds. Feeling most at home in the mountains, Deb has also competed at an international level in cross country skiing.

In May 2022, Deb was appointed Managing Director of Abercrombie & Kent Australia, leading a significant market growth strategy.
