NEW CATEGORIES ANNOUNCED FOR THE LUXPERIENCE AWARDS

(Sydney, 12 April 2016) Luxperience today announced entries are now open for the prestigious Luxperience Awards, which recognise industry excellence in the development and promotion of the finest products that the luxury travel industry has to offer.

Luxperience is excited to introduce two brand new award categories under the Events by Luxperience banner. The buyer award for Events by Luxperience will recognise the achievements of MICE practitioners, professional conference organisers, and executive assistants managing corporate events and in-house event planners. The exhibitor award for Events by Luxperience will acknowledge the successes of MICE suppliers. The Events by Luxperience Awards celebrate the ability to demonstrate their commitment to connecting the world of business events with the world of luxury through a specific product, event or campaign.

Michelle Papas, Director of Marketing at Luxperience, says: “With the introduction of Events by Luxperience at last year’s exhibition, we felt the need to expand and enhance our Awards categories in recognition and celebration of the excellence within the meetings and conference industry.”

Luxperience is also delighted to introduce another new Award category, the Best Suite or Customised Space Award which recognising the presentation, effectiveness, creativity and engagement of a suppliers exhibition space during Luxperience 2016. Exhibitors will be judged exhibitors will be judged on their innovative design, engagement with delegates and overall impact across four categories. This will be a judges choice award. These awards will recognise not only their endeavours but the evolution of luxury travel and highlight the shining stars and visionaries of this luxe community. Winners will set industry standards for inspiration, innovation and quality, raising the bar for others to emulate.”

The judges are in for a difficult time if the standard of last year’s submissions is any indication of the possible responses.

Now in its second year, winners will be announced in front of over 500 guests at the glittering Luxperience Gala Dinner, taking place on Tuesday 20 September 20156. The event is anticipated to be the biggest yet with guests and nominees from around the world also celebrating the fifth anniversary of Luxperience.

The Inspiring Award will recognise one buyer and one supplier that best demonstrates excellence in the planning and development of innovative products and services, acknowledging entrepreneurial vision, market leadership and uniqueness.

The Meaningful Award will pay tribute to a buyer and a supplier that contributes to a greater understanding of history, heritage and culture, incorporating elements such as sense of community, experiential tourism or social responsibility within their program or product.

The Connections Award will recognise a successful e-marketing campaign, both from the buyer and supplier sides, which effectively connect with key target markets within the luxury or high end experiential travel space.

The Events by Luxperience Award celebrates the ability to demonstrate their commitment to connecting the world of business events with the world of luxury through a specific product, event or campaign.

In addition to these awards, Luxperience will recognise an Outstanding Destination Partner which has influenced the development of luxury and experiential tourism within their country or region.

Entries for the Luxperience 2016 Awards can be submitted here from 11 April with the deadline for submissions due by 25 July 2016.

The invitation-only business forum, taking place in Sydney on 18-21 September 2016, is the only one of its kind based in the Australasia and Pacific region that connects the world’s most exclusive travel providers dealing in luxury and experiential travel.
