Lake House Daylesford celebrates 35 years

Monday 14 May 2018

In the early 1980s, chef Alla Wolf-Tasker and her artist husband decided to open a restaurant and hotel on a swampy paddock in Daylesford, 90 minutes from Melbourne. Today, the Lake House is a leader in regional dining, winning numerous chefs hats and being recognised on programs like MasterChef.

Plans for the milestone year include a makeover of the restaurant and plush Waterfront Suites, as well as a new horizon pool overlooking the lake. Wolf-Tasker has also just released a cookbook titles Three Decades On, full of recipes, regional produce and tales from her time at the Lake House.
